"In the world of strategy consulting, where boardrooms and PowerPoint decks dictated my days, fashion felt like a distant universe. Despite the stark differences, design was an ever-present muse in my life, whether crafting narratives in PowerPoint or shaping home decor.
My career took an unexpected turn when my research on sustainable supply chains, uncovered the alarming truth about fashion industry’s ranking as the second most polluting globally. The stark contrast between its glamour and the trail of destruction - polluting rivers, littering oceans, creating mountains of landfills and exploiting people in the name of profit was eye-opening. I decided to pivot and build a purpose-driven brand, grounded in the belief that doing good is good for business.
At Shades of Earth, our journey is not just a brand story but a personal commitment to transforming the fashion landscape with purpose. Sustainability should neither be a luxury, nor limiting. Our purpose is to make sustainable fashion the norm, not the exception and we're on a journey to make responsible choices seamlessly blend with style, quality, and fit.
